baseball

My daughter is so very happy today. She has an autographed baseball from Mark Bellhorn sitting in her pink glove on the couch.
She got it at the AAA Tides/Bats game last night - she jumped up on the roof of the dugout and caught him as he was walking inside from infield practice. She was wearing her Red Sox Bellhorn jersey.

She is on top of the world, and so is DH. It was just the two of them. I think they had the perfect father/daughter bonding night. He let her have a fried twinkie, dippin dots, a pizza, and who knows what all else. She spent the game cheering on the Bats and was obviously paying close attention. My DH has his little baseball enthusiast after all. (Q likes to play but doesn't enjoy watching so much).

Thank you, Mark!!

Oh, so cool for E! Must have been a fabulous night for them.

(My mouth is watering at the idea of a fried twinkie. Must be disgusting and wonderful all at once. Of course, I just started a new "eating healthier" kick so things like that are off-limits and therefore wanted even more...)

One of S's favorite (younger) daycare teachers met Bellhorn and Youkilis out one night a couple of years ago. Bellhorn was grumpy because he was in a hitting slump. Youkilis gave her his phone number - and he was promptly sent back down to Pawtucket. When this young teacher finally used the number several days later, she neglected to check the schedules - and woke up Youkilis while he was sleeping in a motel in Georgia. Oops. He cursed, she lost the phone number....

Yeah, I'm not sure what I think about fried twinkies. DH said E only ate about half of it.

DH and E said Bellhorn played pretty well but was visibly angry when he screwed up one throw to 1st. I guess he's just a lot like my son - an open emotional book.

LOL at S's teacher!! How fun to be flirting with ball players! Oh to have a zillion lives to live. :-)
