And we should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once. And we should call every truth false which was not accompanied by at least one laugh. -Friedrich Nietzsche

what's the payoff?
Amidst the dry leaves and dirt and dead plants that are what make up the terminally neglected, sad "garden" on one side of our patio, I found this little rose. Did you see Wall-E, when the robots discover the one tiny little plant that finally blooms on the abandoned and lifeless planet Earth? That's what I thought of. I thought this picture would inspire hope and make me glad, but I find it quite depressing.

Lucky you, inheriting your Mom's caring green thumb! You can't do it all, dear, and if that's what you neglect, then you're covering the right bases.
Here's something to get your mind off that...you've been tagged. See my space. (please forgive me!)
Well, I haven't seen Wall-E, yet. I find that, in itself, quite depressing. Your garden looks like mine, and that's not a good thing. (I have a black thumb. I kill SILK plants.) But that lone flower is a hopeful thing...more will join it. Most likely to be killed off at the first frost, but hey... ;)
