And we should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once. And we should call every truth false which was not accompanied by at least one laugh.

Goodbye to another friend
I've had Sammy longer than any other pet - he was 17.5 years old.
He was the most loving and affectionate cat I've ever known. He especially loved underarms, and he had a tendency to drool. (That combination was not a good one).
We'll miss you, Sammy!

He outlived his companion Calias a little, didn't he. He was a sweet cat. You gave him a good life. We'll miss him too.
I'm sorry to hear that, J.... I have a baby tom cat that's the exact same color as him.... He's a sweetheart, too....He was born from a stray that I "adopted" and he's got a litter mate that runs from us, but not Yougurt. LOL... He's very friendly....I'll send you a photo sometime.... I just love kitties... I re-read yesterday's post and E looks so happy in those photos with Roxy... Yes, they both resemble each other and both are definitely adorable.
Thanks, Mom. I'm going to hate having an empty top of my refrigerator. :-)
Trouble - thanks!! Actually, the pair I was speaking about that look alike are the pekinese and his owner. You can't tell so much from that photo, but they really did. I hated thinking that because the lady was awfully nice. But yes, Roxy and Erin resemble each other too. Nice brown happy eyes, youthful exuberance, and a tendency to misbehave. Heh.
My Mr. S is 17.5 - I know our time left is limited.
How are the kids with it? When we lost Zoe two years ago (and after years of health issues), C really took it hard. It's still difficult for C to talk about her. Zoe was "his" cat - they bonded when C was an infant.
My first cat died at 17 as well. I loved him to bits. He used to drool too, but ON my shoulder, not in my armpit. So sorry for your loss. But you will have many happy memories of him.

You haven't posted in a while. Everything okay?
