at the beach near J's home... Acadia National Park on a wonderfully foggy morning. I'll post more about the trip later. Suffice it to say that J and Asli and their families were the most wonderful hosts ever. Maine/Acadia was as wonderful as I remember. Even with all that vacation wonderfulness, I have to say that it's also very very good to be home.

That's a great photo, J.... Look at E! LOL...; she's not a daddy's girl, is she? Looks like you are getting shorter too or someone is catching up to you. Did you see the reflection of the painted sky on the sand? Looks really cool to me....
How was the ballgame that ya'll went to?
trouble
Thank you!! Yes, DH is tightly wound around E's little finger. You think she's working that angle much? (snort). I claim to still be taller than Q. And that is not a moustache on his upper lip. Nope.
The ballgame was....um. Well, it was Fenway so that was good. It was Manny's last game, which we learned the next day when they announced the trade. Additionally, we got to see Pedroia, Crisp and Lowrie stand in a circle and watch the ball hit the ground between all of them. Bleah. It was actually pretty pathetic. But it was Fenway and I had some hotdogs and beer and sang Sweet Caroline with friends.
Oh, you're welcome, J.
I remembered that ya'll were going to be at the game and I was hoping that ESPN would televise it and they of course didn't. I told R that "I knew someone that was going to be there, let's see if by chance we'll see them"... LOL.. Then the only thing that I could find was PPV. I watched the highlights the next morning on sportscenter. It was pretty much a sloppy game if you were a Red Sox fan. Hey and look, Coco didn't even get into a fight. LOL. Will you miss Manny? I'm not really all that big of a fan of his personality, but, he's not the first one to point the finger at Red Sox management. Sometimes it's a little hard for me to not believe several people's accusations.
Hot dogs always taste better at the ballgame. :)
Trouble.

Yes, I'll miss Manny. The Red Sox needed Manny, but he was a drain on the rest of the team so I think Theo et al made the right move. You notice how many games he's had to miss with a "sore knee" in LA??? Grrr. I think the RS management is good - most of those who've pointed fingers were end-of-career types who were wanting more than they were worth. Where are they now? (e.g., Pedro, Nomar). I'm a big Theo fan. :-)
I tell you what, I'm all about Jason Bay now, too. If I have to find a new baseball boyfriend as my poor aging Mikey keeps getting injured, I'm weighing between Pedroia and Bay. He's hitting something ridiculous, like .347 since joining the RS????
Yeah, I know what you're talking about the sore knee incident. That's what I more or less talking about his personality. It would make me mad if I played with him. Theo is an excellent GM. I would also agree that he is one of the best in the game and without a doubt well before his time. I hated Bay whenever the Astros played the Pirates. If you can keep a secret I'll tell you that I got Bay's autograph right after he won rookie of the year. They had come to Houston and I took Caitlin to get Biggio's auto and they were playing the Bucs. Caitlin saw Bay and thought he was cute. LOL.
